Exeter University wanted to increase bookings for open days for their Geology and Mining courses, and increase applications for the course. They also wanted to raise awareness of the courses and then benefits of studying in Cornwall. 

Problem

Mining and geology courses at Exeter University are highly regarded, and the university offers the only mining degrees in the UK. However, the courses have a lack of awareness among potential students.

Solution

A test and learn paid campaign on search and social. We carried out A/B testing of multiple platforms and creative, targeting users in multiple locations. 

Audience creation and targeting was used to reach, engage, and retarget users.  

We handled the paid campaign planning and execution while the client controlled the landing pages. 

Results

  • 26% increase in geology page views year-on-year
  • 39% increase in mining page views year-on-year
