Turning Strategic Clarity into the plan your team can execute

This is the second article in a series of three that explains the IntentOS framework and the stages within it:

Strategic Clarity only pays off when it drives activity, otherwise it’s just a better-looking presentation deck. Stage 2 of IntentOS is what turns your Market Map into a focused set of growth bets, a shared and clear narrative, and a set of clear next actions that leadership, channels and partners can commit to. This is how teams move faster without guessing.

Most organisations don’t lack data, they lack a shared focus. Channels optimise for different metrics, budgets are set in isolation, and priorities drift because everyone is interpreting the market through their own lens.

IntentOS fixes that by aligning the business around a single view of demand and opportunity,  then giving everyone a unified way to make decisions.

The three metrics that create one decision language

We use three core metrics to align teams and make prioritisation defensible:

  1. Share of Intent – Where you’re winning today.
It shows how much customer demand you currently capture, and where competitors are taking attention.
  2. Future Share of Intent – Where you’re likely to win next.
A leading indicator showing shifts in customer intent and momentum before they show up in results.
  3. Future Share of Market – What it means commercially.
A forward-looking view of how intent trends translate into market share outcomes over 12, 24 and 36 months.

Together, these metrics help teams:

  • size opportunities with confidence
  • justify investment with evidence
  • set budgets without channel politics
  • forecast growth in a way leadership understands
  • prove impact without relying on last-click comfort

One model. One language. One set of priorities. Read more about the core metrics here

Prioritising what matters (and killing what doesn’t)

Once the organisation is aligned on where demand is, the real work begins: deciding what to do first. IntentOS moves from insight to action by turning market opportunities into a ranked, practical plan.

1) Filter the noise

Not every signal deserves attention. We focus on opportunities where:

  • demand is meaningful
  • the opportunity fits your brand and proposition
  • action is realistic with your team, budget and constraints

This prevents the classic failure mode: chasing low-impact activity because it’s easy to ship.

2) Rank opportunities by impact (not just volume)

We prioritise based on a balanced score that includes:

  • customer relevance
  • potential impact on Share of Intent
  • strategic fit
  • expert judgement

So prioritisation isn’t automated guesswork – it’s evidence plus experience.

The outcome is a clear, defensible view of what to work on first (and why).

3) Turn priorities into execution direction

For each priority opportunity, we help answer the questions that unblock delivery:

  • which channel(s) matter most
  • what message will resonate
  • why this matters now
  • what specific action to take next

So you don’t just know what matters, you know how to act.

The result: Decision Velocity

Stage 2 is the bridge between strategy and execution.

By giving teams a shared view of demand, a common decision framework, and a ranked set of priorities, IntentOS removes friction from decision-making. Fewer debates, faster decisions. more action where it matters. Next is Decision Velocity (Stage 3). Flexible delivery models matched to your capability and capacity, designed to move faster from insight to decision to action.
